This app gives you a place on your iPad where you can work on a variety of different documents including word documents, excel documents and many others. This idea of this app is basically that is it like having Microsoft Office available on your iPad.

When you first launch the application you will notice that the design of the app is extremely well thought out, all of your documents are placed along the left hand side of the screen where details of the documents are placed along the right hand side. This app is great and you will find that using the iPads large touch screen in order to manipulate and edit your documents will really make working on your documents much easier and much more fun. quick office connect screenshot

There are many features of this application; the main one is that it allows you to open almost all of the document types that are associated with Microsoft office. This means that you can open Word Documents, Excel Documents, Spreadsheets and much more on the device, and not only this, but you can edit them as well. One of the best features of the application is that you can share these files via email. This is extremely useful if you have been working on an important document and you want to show one of your colleagues the work that you’ve just done. All you have to do is click the email button within the app and the document will be sent off to your work mate.

Editing spreadsheets with this app is one of the easiest things you can possibly do and even though you will not have used this application before, it will be very intuitive to you. You can do a variety of things with spreadsheets in this application as well as just opening them including editing them in almost all the ways that you can on a PC or Mac. You can add new columns, rows, copy and paste cells and much more. The application also supports many different types of Office files all the way from 1997 – 2008, meaning that is doesn’t matter when you created your file you will still be able to open and edit it with this app.

Overall, this is a fantastic app for the iPad and it is the first app we have seen that has all of these functions. The app is available in the app store for $14.99 which whilst it may seem a little pricey for an iPad app, you have to remember that you really are getting a lot of features and that it is basically turning your iPad into a fully functional office suite. Can I open a new/blank word doc with it?

  • Carroll Kevin

I bought the app and solved that question with an easy fix, I just keep a blank doc file in there and open it when I need a new one. Saving it under a different name, I put a few templates in there using the same rational i.e. agendas

uhhh, you keep referring to almost all the document types associated with Office. Could that be Powerpoint, the other big one, without which Quick Office is hardly a competitor to other suites? What other types of documents are included in your variety?
