The iPad, which has only been released for a couple of months, already has a variety of uses. In the app store there are a whole load of apps for the iPad that will enable you to do pretty much anything you want and some of them are really revolutionising the way we work and the way we do business. Of course we all know the iPad is going to be great for business and now there is an app that will make business meetings even more fun. WebEx for iPad, which has been released by Cisco, will actually allow you to attend meetings on your iPad, much like you would online on your computer using video conferencing. As far as iPad apps go, this is really something special.
First off, we will take a look at the way the application looks. When you launch the app for the first time you will probably notice that it looks quite similar to the actual Cisco WebEx products that have been released in the past, the colour scheme is very similar and so are other things. Of course, if you haven’t used any of these other products or seen them, you won’t know this, but the design of the app is still very clean and it has been made so that it is extremely simple to understand. There are a few things that you will probably wonder about the app before you even consider downloading it. One of these things is whether or not you actually have to have WebEx subscription in order to use the application. Well, the answer to this question is that it depends on exactly what you want to use the application for. If you simple wish to attend meetings on the WebEx app for the iPad, you actually do not need a subscription for the WebEx system, however, if you wish to start a meeting yourself, you will have to have the subscription. Another thing to note is that the app only allows you to attend meetings and if you actually want to start your own meeting, you will need to do it on a PC or Mac. 
The app does have some pretty cool features that will really make joining a meeting on the device extremely easy and fun. One of the best features that we can see is that you can actually view the meetings full screen on the device and as well as this, you can also join in the meetings for free using VoIP connectivity. This is free, just like with Skype and similar products. Another great feature is that you can actually see who is in the meeting and exactly how they joined.
Overall, this application really is a great find and if you have to attend online meetings regularly, then this app could really make your life a lot simpler and fun. The app is actually available for free at the moment from the iTunes app store, so why not try it.
