The list of apps available for the iPad is growing more and more each day and this makes finding great apps even more difficult. There are hundreds of apps out there for both the iPad and the iPhone devices that supposedly make it easier to organize your life. Using the iPad in order to take notes and keep your life organized has become a way of life for some people and now there is a new great app on the scene. Index Card for iPad is a great app that allows you to keep your ideas and store notes on your iPad in a great new way. In terms of iPad apps that are already out there, Index Card offers something a little different.

The overall idea of Index Card for the iPad device is that it will allow you to keep your ideas and notes on the device. The great thing about the app is that it allows you to do this in a new way. Instead of the boring old lists of notes, which can sometimes be difficult to even decipher once whey are written, the Index Card app actually allows you to keep your notes organized on a corkboard style note board. When you first launch the app, you will notice that the design of the app is a little different from any other idea keeping or note taking app and that you will actually be presented with what looks like a corkboard to keep your ideas on. The idea is that you add a number of different colored notes to the corkboard and this enables you to keep your ideas organized systematically.

The great thing about the app is that there are a range of features that will allow you to keep your life really organized. You can make different corkboards, all with different sets of notes on them, divided however you like. Another great thing about the app is that you can actually add a variety of things to the corkboard. Although the actual cards on the corkboard only contain text, they will lead to a whole piece of your project and they can include photos, text, book chapters and even movie scenes. This is great for organizing your work.

Another great feature of the app is that you can export your projects to your computer using the iTunes file sharing option. This allows you to keep your projects backed up and allows you to save an RTF copy of your project. You can also email the project that you have created without even leaving the app as it supports mail.

Overall, this is a great app if you are looking for a new way to organize your projects and to really keep them organized. There is so much you can do with this app and the versatility is the main selling point. The app is available for just $4.99 from the iTunes app store and is well worth the price. How can I add photos? In your second to last paragraph you said “Another great thing about the app is that you can actually add a variety of things to the cork board.” What are these variety of things we can add?
    Thanks Stacey

I can only second the review! “Technology done right should just work” the DenVog guys claim. And “Index Card” easily lives up to their claim. I was first trying “Manuscript” and was deeply disappointed. Second try was “Index Card”. Great stuff! It deserves better than 4 stars. Also, they have a great support website.
